Excellence in Teaching and World-Leading Research
The Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Graduate School was created in August 2010 as a focus for excellence in teaching and research at the Al-Maktoum College. All students on taught Masters and research programmes at the College are part of the Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Graduate School.
Studying in the Graduate School means that you will have access to all the facilities of the College, including the library, the IT and study facilities, and you will be involved in our programmes of classes and seminars to help you get the most of your time as a graduate student with us. We hold weekly research seminars, with regular visiting academics giving research papers.
Further classes are available for the development of research and study skills as required. We are also introducing a new doctoral programme for our postgraduate research students – to give an opportunity for PhD and MPhil students to develop the range of key skills required in the research and writing of their thesis, together with skills that will be of use in their careers.
