The Al-Maktoum College does not offer funding for study or research. Students are required to find their own sources of funding for fees and living expenses. There are, however, a number of organisations which offer support to students, and you may wish to contact them to see if you qualify. You can find out more by visiting the websites listed below.
Tuition Fees
TUITION FEES 2011/2012
Students are required to pay the tuition fees to the College immediately prior to registration. Fees listed below are the annual fees for 2010/11 and are subject to review.
UK and EU Students
- 1. Full-time research courses (MPhil/PhD) £3500.00
- 2. Full-time taught courses (MLitt) £3500.00
- 3. Part-time research courses (MPhil/PhD) £1750.00
- 4. 20 credit fee for PG Cert/PG Dip £390.00 per course
- 5. P.T MLitt Dissertation (60 credits) £1170.00
Overseas Students
- 1. Full-time research courses (MPhil/PhD) £9500.00
- 2. Full-time taught courses (MLitt) £9500.00
- 3. Part-time research courses (MPhil/PhD) £4750.00
- 4. 20 credit fee for PG Cert/PG Dip £1055.00 per course
- 5. P.T MLitt Dissertation (60 credits) £3167.00

Opening a Bank Account
There are a number of banks you can choose to open an account with and most have several branches in Dundee. For more information, please come into the office and ask and staff can help you find a branch most convenient for you. To open a bank account you will need the following:
- A letter from the College/University confirming you are a student
- Proof of address
- Passport
