The Al-Maktoum College provides Open Scholarships and Partial Scholarships

The scholarships are available for postgraduate students wishing to study full-time for one of the following programmes at Al-Maktoum College in Dundee:
- MLitt in Islamic Studies
- MLitt in Bayt al-Maqdis & Jerusalem Studies
- MLitt in Multiculturalism
- MLitt in Muslims, Globalisation & the West
- MLitt in Islamic Education
- MLitt in Islamic Law
- MLitt in Islamic Banking & Finance*
- MLitt in Gender & Islam
- MSc in Practical Ethics & Islam
- MLitt in Islamic Ethics
- MSc in Development, Islam & the Muslim World

The scholarships are only available for the one year MLitt programmes at Al-Maktoum College. His Highness Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, has generously funded many scholarships which have given great benefits to young scholars from around the world. Currently, scholars from the Arab world, South East Asia, Europe as well as the United Kingdom are studying under this scheme at Al-Maktoum College. This new prestigious scholarships scheme is another serious effort on the part of Al-Maktoum College in Dundee to serve the local, national and international communities, and a great human investment to educate the next generation of scholars and in particular to prepare an academic team of young scholars as specialists in the new agenda for the study of Islam and Muslims. The scholarship will cover the full student tuition fee and will also include a fixed monthly sum to cover living expenses (£680). Applicants for the scholarship will normally be required to hold at least an upper second class Honours degree (2.1) or equivalent in an appropriate discipline and the scholarship would particularly suit a recent graduate. - The Al-Maktoum College seeks to promote its innovative and unique postgraduate programmes in the study of Islam and Muslims. The College is offering Partial Scholarships for eligible international and home/EU students registering on the taught/research programmes at the Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education. Current students in the taught programme at the Al-Maktoum College may be eligible to apply for the Partial Scholarships, if they wish to continue their study to PhD level. Please read the Partial Scholarship Criteria

All submissions will be referred to the Scholarships Committee who will select the award winners. The Committee has the right to hold back the scholarship in the event that there is no suitable candidate(s). The decision of the committee is final, with no review procedures. The successful candidate will be expected to sign an agreement with the sponsor and start studying the full-time taught Masters course subject to them receiving an unconditional offer of acceptance from the University of Aberdeen to study at Al-Maktoum College.
