Education Exhibitions in Libya and Malaysia

The Al-Maktoum Institute has been represented at two major international education exhibitions this month as it strives to increase student numbers and learn more about higher education opportunities overseas.

Mr A.G. Abubaker, Director of Operations and Institute Board member, attended a three-day conference in Libya while Dr Alhagi Manta Drammeh, Head of Department, travelled to Malaysia. Both events were organised by the British Council.

“We felt it was extremely important for the Institute to attend as part of the marketing initiative outlined in our recently-published Strategic Plan,” said Institute Principal, Professor Malory Nye. “These are well-attended and well-organised exhibitions that will give the Institute the opportunity to outline its benefits to potential students while re-enforcing our links with educational establishments overseas.

“The Al-Maktoum Institute already has good relations with both Libya and Malaysia and we have had a number of students from both countries in recent years.

“We welcome this opportunity for more to come to Dundee and study with us in the future.”
