The Al-Maktoum Institute Principal, Professor Malory Nye presented an Award for Multicultural Education to staff members from Wallacetown Nursery at Dundee City Council’s Focus on Achievement Awards at the Caird Hall recently.
The winning nursery was adjudged to have made the most substantial contribution to multicultural education in Dundee.
“Wallacetown Nursery are worthy winners of this year’s Multicultural Education Award, which we were delighted to sponsor,” said Professor Nye. “The nursery’s ‘Sharing Home Languages’ project was first class. I am pleased to say that the standard of entries submitted to Dundee City Council Education Department overall was extremely high and for the judges the process of selecting a winner was no easy task. We commend all those who entered for the quality of their projects and well done, once again, to all at Wallacetown Nursery.”
